In addition to creating heirloom pieces that combine a modern aesthetic with timeless construction, I also utilize mainly American hardwoods that are sustainably harvested, black walnut, white oak, maple, cherry, ash and the like.  These American hardwoods offer a full range of natural tones to satisfy any taste.  Generally I prefer to let the color tone of each wood species speak for itself when staining and finishing a piece and only minimal staining or coloring, if any, should be used.  I am happy to create a single piece for your home or a matching set of pieces for any room in your home.  I prefer to not reproduce pieces that I have done before in order to give the client a one of a kind piece however I’m happy to alter  one of my designs to give you something unique.  Once commissioned, I’ll provide a 3D computerized sketch up of the design for you to approve and then we’ll be on our way to creating a modern heirloom for your home.
